Mark Sperrazzo, St. Thérèse Academy Principal

Mr. Sperrazzo received his Masters in Education and Credential in Administration at National University after receiving his BA from The University of San Diego.  He began his career teaching Jr. High at The School of the Madeleine in 1985.  In 1988 he transferred to The University of San Diego High School where he taught math and coached the Varsity Volleyball teams for both boys and girls.  In 1997 he became the Dean of Students and Assistant Principal and continued that role throughout the inaugural year at Cathedral Catholic High School.  In the Fall of 2006, he accepted the principal’s position at St. Thérèse Academy.

Mr. Sperrazzo finds his greatest fulfillment working with people in a Christian environment.  As a principal, he feels he has the ability to positively impact students and their families.  He has also brought a lot of laughter to the halls of the Academy!

Mr. Sperrazzo enjoys playing tennis and racquetball and spending time with his family, especially his two daughters Sophia and Julia who also attend St. Thérèse Academy.  He is blessed to have his parents, his brother and two sisters and all their families residing in San Diego!  Mr. Sperrazzo used to own a bakery and enjoys baking and cooking (a past-time the entire staff enjoys!)
