Jen Bedison, Director of Youth Ministry

Jen Bedison is a graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville (1992). She has over 15 years of Youth Ministry experience and has been with St. Thérèse for almost 4 years.  Her family is originally from Hawaii, but she grew up in San Diego and graduated from the Academy of Our Lady of Peace.

Jen is a talented musician; a guitar player and singer who enjoys directing the Life Mass band STYGmata at the Sunday evening 5:00pm mass. She has been the Program/Music Director for Whispering Winds Catholic Camp and Conference Center for the past 8 years and has directed and choreographed children’s musical theatre for Broadway Bound Youth Theatre.

Her passion is to spread the love of Christ through faith-based programming and music, especially with our Jr. High and High School-aged youth. Her life principle is: Serve God, cherish people, dance like you mean it, and sing joyfully to the Lord.

Her heroes are: Our Blessed Mom, Frank of Assisi (Clare too), JPII, Mother Teresa, C.S. Lewis, Mother Antonia, Bob Fosse, and of course Christ! She feels greatly blessed to be a part of the St. Thérèse community.

In her spare time, Jen loves to travel (Italy is her very favorite), go to the theatre, eat Mexican food, read great books at Starbucks (and, of course, drink great coffee), frequent Disneyland with friends, spend time with her ferociously cute dog Tinkerbell, and take long drives in her Convertible Beetle!
