Dorothy Hulburt, Director of Catechetical Ministries

Dorothy (Dotti) Hulburt  has been at St. Thérèse since 1992. She serves as DCM, working in adult and family ministries (RCIA, Bible Study, MOMS, Small Communities, etc) and Liturgy (Coordinator for Eucharistic Ministers, environment & special liturgies). She brings a wealth of experience to her role, having worked for 30 years in pastoral, catechetical and liturgical ministries. In addition, she is a retreat master, spiritual mentor and a popular presenter at parish, diocesan and national levels. She loves working with adults and being a part of their journey of faith, seeing the myriad ways that God works in each person’s life. A convert in her late teens, she has a special affection for her work with converts in the RCIA. Dotti brings to her ministry the gift and ability to share her love of the Lord in very human terms, especially through scripture, story, and our catholic spiritual traditions.

She still likes to play in the mud (gardening & pottery) and enjoys cooking & sharing a meal with family and friends. A free afternoon can lure her in for a movie or a long walk on the beach.

Dorothy and her husband Roger have been happily married over 30 years.  They have three grown children and a grade-schooler.  Home, she says, is her greatest school of theology!
