Let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord who made us, for we are the people He shepherds. Psalm 95:6

Liturgical Ministries

The Mass
Of all the forms of liturgy, the Mass has always been and will always be the heart of worship - because we believe when we come together as a community to celebrate it, a particular miracle happens: Christ is made present to us in the proclamation of the Gospel (the liturgy of the Word), and then the same Christ is made present to us in a special way in the Eucharistic meal we share (the liturgy of the Eucharist).  This is the source and summit of our faith, our hope, and our love.

There are many ways you can be more actively involved in the liturgy of the Mass:

Altar Servers assist the priest during the celebration of the mass.

Art & Environment enhances our worship space throughout the liturgical seasons of the year.

Children’s liturgy,The Children’s Liturgy of the Word gives children 5-10 years of age the opportunity to listen to the Word at their level and pray together during the 10:30  mass.

Eucharistic Ministers (EM's) distribute Communion to our brothers and sisters at Mass.

Hospitality Ministers, Ushers and Greeters welcome the friend and stranger at Mass, assist with the collection.

Lectors proclaim the Word of God at Mass.

Music Ministries, If you can sing or play an instrument please consider joining one of the music groups.

Sacristan is responsible for the set-up for a particular liturgy making sure everything is in place for the mass to begin.

And as always, you actively participate in the liturgy from your pews every time you go to Mass, whether or not you serve in any other particular roles.

All these roles are vitally important.
But since you are already going to Mass, and most of these roles don't require a lot of additional time from your schedule, think about serving.  Click around and learn a little more about the ministries, and then take a few moments to reflect...

To what ministry do you hear a quiet calling, at this time and place in your life?
