Love your fellow Christians. Do not neglect to show hospitality, for you may be entertaining angels unawares. Heb 13:1

Ushers and Greeters

Greeters help build up the church and create a spirit of welcome and a sense of belonging. It begins with a deep commitment to Christ and to his Church.

Ushering is a ministry of Christ’s presence where strangers are put at ease, visitors are welcomed, people with special needs or disabilities experience the care of the community.

Warmth, friendliness and openness to hospitality are essential to these distinct but cooperative ministries. Always making your first word a word of welcome is important.

Training is provided. Each Mass has a variety of responsibilities that may be different from other Masses.

Ushers and greeters serve during the liturgy, yet remain fully engaged in the celebration of the mass despite their duties.
